When the first Camaro rolled off the factory floor in 1967 is had a unique and appealing force to it. This has made it a sustainable vehicle through the years. Today the 2011 Camaro pictures are showing no exception to this rule. Camaro had had many faces and this one is definitely one to check out and take a look at.

The base model is one along with the Coupe 1Lt, 2 LT, 1SS and Coups 2SS. Their price range falls from a little over twenty two thousand to almost thirty five thousand depending on the model and package that you choose. As the same in 1967 their base model comes standard with a six cylinder engine.

The newer model is a V6 with a very impressive three hundred twelve horsepower engine. You can also find a standard six speed manual transmission. For an automatic you can expect to tack on about a thousand dollars onto the sticker price for a 2011 camaro. The wheels are standard eighteen inches with a steering wheel mounted cruise control and dual exhaust. If you are a Camaro fan, no doubt the return of the Camaro as a 2010 model was exciting. You may be wondering about the soon to appear 2011 Camaro pictures. They are coming, but there is a lot less to be excited about.

The power specifications for the V6 look better in 2011 than in 2010. Horsepower went from 304 HP to 312 HP. Torque went from 273 lb-ft to 278 lb-ft. The engine is unchanged, only the specifications are improved. This is because the SAE certification data was not ready in time for 2010, so General Motors had to estimate conservatively. Now that the certification is done, they have switched to the numbers from it. There are no other performance changes from 2010 to 2011.

This means that the V6 Camaro is now slightly ahead of the comparable Mustang in the paper horsepower derby. Unfortunately the Camaro is lagging the Mustang in fuel efficiency, 29MPG for the Camaro vs 29 or 30 MPG for the Mustang. There is plenty of room for discussion of these attributes between motivated Camaro and Mustang owners.

The best news for the driver is that the Head Up Display (HUD) that was developed for the Corvette, is being adapted for some models of the 2011 Camaro. This HUD will display key information, including speed and RPM, on the windshield. The HUD will also display OnStar navigation instructions.

If you like the new Synergy Green, note that it will be available on all Trim Levels of the 2011. It was first issued on the 2010 Synergy Special Edition Camaro and then offered on the 1LT Trim Level. Due to its popularity, it is being made more available.

The new Camaro SS Convertible seems to be in the works. It’s not mentioned on the official site, but a number of rumors in web postings suggest it will be announced soon. It will be a rag top with a glass rear window and small quarter windows. It will come with its own spoiler concept and an antenna that looks sort of like a shark fin on the trunk.

Those who hunger for the really hot cars will have to wait a bit for the relaunch of the Camaro Z28. It seems to have been moved from the 2011 model year to 2012, possibly because of General Motors recent financial near meltdown. You can look forward to a 6.2 supercharged V8 putting out something like 556 horsepower. Hopefully you can wait till late 2011 for this speed wagon.

The 2011 offers the same V8 engines as the 2010. The 6 speed manual transmission goes with the 6.2 liter LS3 engine. It is rated at 426 horsepower at 5900 RPM and 420 lb-ft at 4600 RPM. With the 6 speed automatic transmission you get the 6.2 liter l99. This will give you 400 horsepower at 5900 RPM and 410 lb-ft at 4300 RPM. The L99 has the Active Fuel Management system. This disables 4 of the cylinders when they aren’t needed, yielding better fuel mileage.

If you like the retro look, you will like viewing the 2011 Camaro interior pictures. The quality is definitely not luxury, but the instruments are well laid out and current. You probably won’t be surprised by the small back seat, but the small opening into the trunk will annoy you when loading large objects.

After summing up all the available 2011 Camaro pictures and specs it is a worthy successor to the 2010, though it hasn’t changed very much. The minor changes that are present are improvements. The upcoming convertible and Z28 should make for some excitement in Camaro land.
