Sports cars are impressive are they not? But the concept of sports cars for the public has not been around since the start of the modern car industry. In fact, the idea of modern sports cars is quite new. It was the Italian manufacturer, Enzo Ferrari, who conceived of of the idea and produced the first sports car for the public in 1929.

Enzo Ferrari was the trail-blazer of the modern sports car sector, but it soon caught on as wealthy men all around the world wanted to own a special, fast car, to set himself above the general public, who still cannot afford new modern sports cars.

Ferrari’s modern sports cars are famous all around the world. People are fascinated by the designs of Ferrari’s sports cars and racing cars. Ferrari has been in Formula One racing since it began and they are the most popular racing team of all time. The Ferrari team has included such celebrated names as Michael Schumacher and Alberto Ascai, who rapidly became popular heroes.

The flagship of the Ferrari sports cars is the F430, which is a two-seater coupe. It is continuously being enhanced and re-engineered. In fact, it has lately undergone a major overhaul and now it is the most sought after modern sports car of the year. It is not only exceptionally beautiful, but it has fantastic performance statistics too. The price tag is very reasonable for a car of this class. However, at $160,000 plus, most people could not afford a new set of tyres for it.

The most recent Ferrari is the Superamerica hardtop convertible, which sells for $300,000. It became instantly sought after when it appeared in Ferrari showrooms across America. It has a fearsomely powerful V12 engine, which produces unbelievable performance. The engine is based on their Formula One racing cars and comes with gear changing paddles on the steering wheel.

The roof of the Superamerica is beautiful and pragmatic. It is made from electro chromic glass and carbon fibre and can be removed to convert the Superamerica from a smart coupe into a chic open top sports car in a matter of minutes. The drop-top Superamerica is one of the most beautiful modern sports cars on the planet.

Ferrari acquired another leading sports car company, Maserati, in 1997. Since then Maserati’s output from their production lines and the popularity of its cars has grown rapidly. The public just cannot get enough of Maserati’s modern sports cars like the Quattroporte at $95,000 and the Spyder GT drop-top, which costs a very affordable $83,000.

There are other producers of modern sports cars such as Dodge with it’s Viper, Chevrolet with its Corvette, Lamborghini and the Murcielago and Porche with its Boxter and $440,000 Carrera.

If you cannot afford any of these modern sports cars, you could purchase a kit car. With a kit car you can detach the shell of a fairly cheap sports car, like a Boxter, and replace it with an exact replica body of say a Lamborghini Murcielago in fibre glass.

In terms of style and automotive technology, it is the Ferrari that leads the pack and the new F430 is definitely full of promise. It is the update of the 350 Modena and the model first graced the world at the Paris Motor Show at the end of September.

It still retains the unmistakable Ferrari look that originated with the Enzo and a number of design elements were adapted and incorporated. It has the all-new 4.3-liter engine with 490 horsepower. The unit was based on the engines of the Maserati models.

The basic look of the Ferrari F430 originates from the F355 and it was from the F355 that the 360 Modena evolved. Soon, the F430 adapted the look.

While the 360 has these horizontal headlights, the Ferrari F430 features vertical headlights almost identical to the Enzo’s. The F430 also has bigger front air intakes and a small splitter in the middle much like the Enzo. The F430 has eliminated the small nose in the center of the bumper and features a larger front spoiler air duct on the trailing edge.

The influence of the Enzo on the Ferrari F430 is maintained on both the rear and lower air intakes. The taillights are mounted high on the back fascia. There are five cutouts on all sides of the engine cover of the F430 while there is none for the 360. The rear air diffuser with Enzo-esque vertical canes is more prominent on the F430 and the rear bumper has a more natural integration into the rear body compared to the 360.

The aluminum space frame of the Ferrari F430 and the 360 are basically the same but the F430 has that Maserati 4.3 liter V8 engine. It has an output of 490 horsepower with a torque of 343 lb-ft. It is certainly more powerful than the 360 Modena with a higher power-to-weight ratio. In just 4 seconds, the F430 can reach 62 mph with a top speed of 196 mph.

The F430 is the pioneering V8 Ferrari to have driver aid control fixed to the steering wheel, as seen previously on the 612 Scaglietti and Enzo. There is a knob on the right known as the manettino by the drivers on the Ferrari F1 team. It controls the dynamic modes of the car. Shifting with the de riguer paddle shifters can be done in just 150 milliseconds and this sends power through the differential, which is electronically controlled. Such a new technology was adapted from the F1 team. The 19-inch, dual-spoke wheels of the F430 are reminiscent to the Enzo’s. $20,000 carbon-ceramic brakes can also be fitted as an add-on.

Like all Ferrari vehicles, the F430 does not come cheap. When it became available in the US, it was in the $200,000 range but sold even higher than the window sticker price due to such a huge demand. The first few cars that were sold reportedly cost a quarter of a million dollars.

Scuderia Ferrari which means the Ferrari Stable is nowadays famously known to be the Ferrari. Even in the late 1940s up to the present date, Ferrari has continued to become the topmost Italian manufacturer of sports cars under its inventor by the name of Enzo Ferrari. Ferraris are true marks of outstanding performances of fast cars in today’s global car industry.

The launching of the first ever automobile creation, the Typo 815, was during the 1940 Mille Miglia which at that time was slower in terms of competition because of the ongoing World War II. However, it was the 125 S that was undoubtly declared as the first car. Powered with 1.5 liter V12, the 125 S won first prize in the Rome Grand Prix in 1947 with the great Franco Cortese as the driver.

Despite his unwillingness, Enzo Ferrari sold his magnificent creations to augment his automobile industry which was slowing rising to popularity in the whole world. He however maintained his conspicuous dislike for the consumers. Because of such distaste, a tycoon in the tractor business named Ferruccio Lamborghini, created for himself fast cars, which today is widely known as the Lamborghini. He felt discontented with the Ferraris and he was disgusted with the quality of service Ferrari has provided. The Dino 246 GT with mid-engine back drive was considered unique in the sense that there were no traces of adorned trademark placed on the car. With Phil Hill as the driver, the Dino 246 captured the first price during the Italian Grand Prix in 1960. From 1986 to 1989, the 328 GTS became very sellable in the market.

Ferrari participated in the project known as BITOMORE wherein they planned to create a single seat car with its machine at one end of car’s faade and the other at the rear. The 308GT4 in 1973, through the design of Bertone has the fiberglass body and then in time was changed to iron. Lancia and Fiat Dino, other manufacturers of Italian cars use Ferrari engines in their creations. To make their golden anniversary distinguishable, Ferrari produced autos that have two door with removable topmost. Through the 976 Ferrari 400GT, automatic conductance is provided and known in cars.

In 1958, the Ferrarina which is a small adaptation of the Testa Rossa, has a 1,000 cc91 bhp alloy type four cylinder machine with a running speed of 113 miles per hour.Ferrari has by far collected 25 winning titles in 500 Formula Two race.

Its unique emblem, the prancing horse was seen for the first time on the cooling device of the automotive engine. This iconic symbol was made by the Cerrato company and carved for the Scaglietti models. This consists of a 3 millimeter brass sheets plated in chrome and pantograph in such a way that the figure can look elaborate. But it was changed to an embellished steed to make it fitting for all the Ferrari sports cars. This symbol can be seen at the front and rear end of all cars.

Ferrari’s production site used to be in Maranello located at the northern part of Italy but was later relocated in 1982 to make cars solely for Formula racings near Fiorano, Ferrari’s race track. Included in the production is the car parts and accessories.

The prominent color of red is used for Italian race cars with the intention of competing in the Grand Prix. Eighteen other colors are available for Ferrari sports cars.

Who doesn’t love a Ferrari? It’s almost impossible to miss this on the road. A Ferrari has the ability to bring style and sophistication to car enthusiasts that other car companies cannot. The Ferrari brings character and class like no other vehicle has given.

Models like the Ferrari California may have been launched in 2008, but it’s still being adored by car lovers today. Its fifty year old legacy combined with powerful developments has helped produce a well coveted vehicle. The first Ferrari to ever have a retractable hard top, it has surely captured the hearts of Ferrari lovers around the globe.

Having back seats is probably not common when talking about Ferraris, but this innovative company is determined to break the mold and provide various options to Ferrari lovers and car enthusiasts. The Ferrari California takes pride in housing a V8 front engine and a 7 speed transmission, but there’s definitely more to love. This car, also called the Grand Tourer can allow you to bring some of your friends or young children for a ride. Expect them to fall in line!

If you have been used to spacious cars that offer a lot of leg room, you should know that you will not find it in the Ferrari. What you will find, however, is an immense speed that can be considered from one of the fastest cars in the world. Can you think of any other car that can take you from zero to 60 in only four seconds? This impressive feature continues to amaze car enthusiasts, but Ferrari is determined to make more developments to their product line like no other company ever has.

The word flying could probably be associated with a car like this. If you remember the classic film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, you would recognize the car being a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder. That mythical car may have not reached a wide audience as there were only about less than a hundred models made, but if you really want one of these valuable vehicles, you should know that a 250 GT in an automobile auction can cost a little over 10 million dollars.

It is not surprising how the value of the Ferrari continues to appreciate as the years go buy. It’s amazing how people have regarded the value of the Ferrari. As they continue to make more modern developments in their vehicles, the value of their older models almost become somewhat of a collector’s item.

The Ferrari likes to stick to a tried and tested formula, and then developing new innovation injected in most of their models. The new Ferrari California that was launched in 2008 still bears semblance to their older models, but owning one will not necessarily feel nostalgic at all. It’s a beautiful car with modern features and basic design, but in looking at the car’s performance, engine and other benefits, you would instantly know that such development can only come from a company like Ferrari.

We may see a lot of newer cars in the market. One thing is sure though: legacy of the Ferrari lives on. As they continue to move forward with their desire to make more customers happy, they are sure to remain as one of the global leaders in the automobile industry.

The word Ferrari can be compared to elegance and abundance. Since 1947, the car has remained a symbol of globally competent race cars with high performance and good quality. It is always a major subject to talk about when latest models of cars are accessible for the public to purchase.

These automobiles are really very costly due to its quality and patented trademark and are usually connected with wealth and richness. Yet, these are not reasons well enough to acquire this race car that is brand new displayed at huge show centers. There are plenty of secondhand ones obtainable at different locations all over the state for everybody to have.

The bread of car, which is an epitome in design and machine operation, is the 612 Scaglietti. This type of automobile runs with a rapidity of 62 miles per hour in 4.2 seconds with the use of 5.7 liter V12. This is quite an achievement considering that the 612 Scaglietti is big and a capacious race car. The inside area of the grand tourer is without doubt very elegant, and fully furnished with remarkable devices just like the electrochromic type of roof.

During its first trading, the sales were a little slow but after a while, handful of used models were then available. The cost of the 612 Scaglietti was 213,000 pounds sterling. The same type of model, a 2009 regular. can be bought at 170,000 pounds with a top speed of over 200 mph as well as a 2007 regular Ferrari at 110,000 pounds also with a top speed of over 200 miles per hour. These may be used cars but still they are very costly considering that it is the well -renowned Ferrari brand we are talking about.

The 599GTB is another type of fast car with the value of 200,000 pounds. With the use of 6.0 liter V12 and this design copied from the known Enzo can only use up 3.7 seconds to get to 60 MPH and even travels up to 205 miles per hour if it is necessary.

An enthusiastic buyer can get a 1958 model able to go 170 miles per hour in speed for the value of 190,000 pounds or maybe go for the price of 135,000 pounds for 2007, with the velocity of 170 miles per hour.

A minor design of the new models is the Ferrari California, which looks very impressive. It is the up to date version of the 1957 Ferrari 250 and is built to be very changeable to grand tourer or roundabout style from the convertible type. The inner space is provided with awesome tools. This car travels 60 miles per hour in four seconds or less, using a 4.3 liter V8. It used to be 170,000 pounds at its launching in 2008 but there is a 2009 out in the used market for only 150,000 pounds.

Used Ferraris may just be “hand me down” cars but take note that it is never cheap to acquire one. It is also expensive in terms of its operating and service expenses. However, buying used Ferraris is also advantageous because you can have the best at a lower price.

When the Ferrari California appeared on the scene back in 2008, it had a lot of new features to show the world. The first retractible hardtop, the first front-engine V8, and a dual-clutch 7-speed transmission. It also retired one of Ferrari’s classic designs: the manual gearbox. It’s a car that moves ahead and manages to hold onto its past.

The Ferrari California is a “grand tourer,” a car designed not just for speed and handling, but for spending some quality time on the road. What makes it a bit more suitable for the long-haul is that it’s a “2+,” a two-door car with two seats in its backseat. The real magic may be in the driver’s seat, but at least now you’ve got a slightly larger audience to share your joy.

The California recalls a 20th-century ancestor, another great Ferrari with a sort-of backseat. Back in the late ’50s, the 250 GT California rolled onto highways and into dreams. You may know this car from the 1986 John Hughes movie “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.” The red car at the center of that film was a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT Spyder California, one of something like 100 such cars built. And lest you worry that the car’s swan-dive at the movie’s end was a great crime against Ferrari: the car was a replica.

This car made such an impression that the Ferrari family had to carry on the name in a new generation. Sure, they could’ve called it the Florida, but really, California seems much cooler. And it carries that 20th-century style into the 21st. The 2008 California goes zero to 60 in a shade under four seconds and reaches a top speed of 193 mph; in wind tunnel tests, it’s proved that it is Ferrari’s most aerodynamic car.

It’s a powerful car, sure, but it’s not a monster like some of Ferrari’s other machines. The California has actually acquired a reputation for being sort of, well, nice. It is a pretty car, but not exotically so. It is a fast car, but may not tear your head off like some others. And, so they’ve said, the car has sort of a big ass.

The Ferrari California lacks for nothing in the way of looks, performance and even backseat space (admittedly we’re stretching the notion of what a backseat is here a little bit). It’s really the car for the roadtrip. For taking the family on a high-speed trip across America. It’s the new station wagon. Okay, maybe not that, but the California really is the kind of car you’d want to spend some time in with the people you love — or lust after.

One of the most notorious and sought after cars in the world, Ferrari boasts its complex yet wonderful quality and dashing style. With its definite dominance in speed and maneuverability, it is safe to say that Ferrari is the greatest car developer and manufacturer in the whole world.

The man who founded Ferrari was named Enzo Ferrari. He started the Scuderia Ferrari, the first ever name of Ferrari, in Modena, Italy in 1929 as an amateur driver sponsorship. With this Sponsorship, he helped train and developed drivers to race on an Alfa Romeo model sports car. He continued to run the sponsorship until he was hired by Alfa Romeo in 1938 to head the motor racing division.

At Alfa Romeo, he excelled at his post and developed then new technologies for automobiles until 1940. The 1940′s saw the rise of Benito Mussolini and his Fascist Government. Because of the need of support for the Axis Powers, the Italian Government sought the use of Alfa Romeo. But because Enzo Ferrari’s division was very small, he was not at all affected by what has occurred.

Due to his contract with Alfa Romeo, Enzo Ferrari was not permitted to race for four years. By then, Scuderia Ferrari changed its name into Auto Avio Costruzioni Ferrari. The new Ferrari was now a developer of airplane accessories and machine tools. It was during this time that Enzo manufactured the first ever Ferrari, the Tipo 815. Unfortunately for him, it was the non-competition period.

The first ever Ferrari racecar to be displayed among the public was the Tipo 815. It saw little competition. It was debuted to the public at the Mille Miglia in 1940. Three years later, the Ferrari factory was moved to Maranello, Italy. This was very unfortunate for Enzo for the factory was consequently destroyed by Allied bombing raids during the Second World War. But, Enzo, with renewed determination, sought to rebuild the factory and he did so after the war was over. This day would mark Ferrari’s emergence as a top manufacturer of automobiles.

In 1947, the 125 S was introduced. The 1947 125 S was the first ever road car made by Ferrari. With its new 1.5L V12 engine, the start of an outstanding future was coming to fruition. The people loved Ferrari’s creations and style and resulted into immediate success.

However, Enzo Ferrari was reluctant in introducing to the public his automobiles. He was not pleased by the fact that people are buying his cars not for the performance, but only, for the prestige.

Even so, Ferrari continues to dominate the automobile industry. Over 3,000 are employed every year and 1,688 Euros are gathered from revenues annually. It is for this reason that Ferrari is the finest manufacturer in the world. No one ever knew that a racecar driver could ever establish the greatest racecar developer today.
