Many accidents are reported globally everyday, a number of which are fatal. However, with the measures being taken, there are still no signs of reducing eventualities.

As much as the technology gets more and more sophisticated, there is still some responsibility on the part of the driver for the cars control.

Some times, you just have to prepare yourself in advance for the dangerous situations that you may encounter while you are driving. It will require you to do defensive driving courses if you are to succeed. There are professional guides who will teach you what you need to know.

The courses are very short and may take two days for you to come through. There are lecturers who will give you a sit-in session on your first day. The second day is a field activity. The content includes rules and measures to take under various circumstances.

It is necessary that the driver of the vehicle pay attention to what is going on in the car and on the road so that he can avoid accidents. He must focus on the road.

Generally, people get distractions when they are driving and these may be something like attempting to do a text message while one hand is on the wheel. Some are simply drunk while driving. This can lead to a fatal accident due to split focus.

The exercise that the driver will go through will help him maneuver through certain difficult circumstances that will require him to rely on emergency brakes. He will be taught how to apply emergency brakes at high speeds that may exceed 60KM per hour. This is done under the guidance of qualified personnel who watch closely.

One good training test is to make the driver go through an obstacle course studded with cones. The Driver is to go through it at a certain speed without knocking the cones over. This will sharpen the drivers handling skills and use of mirrors.

There are driving courses that a driver can take to help him maneuver his way through a difficult situation when driving. Therefore, when the day of calamity strikes he will be able to use the skills to brig the car to safety.

In the six years since the original Mini-T was released it has remained a force in RC. Losi has decided to shake things up a bit with its newest truck based on the Mini-T platform, the Mini-Desert Truck. Borrowing design queues from its larger 1/10-scale cousin the Mini-Desert Truck looks…

We knew that the 1/10–scale Desert Truck from Losi was going to be a lot of fun when we first caught wind of it. Upon further inspection we were impressed with the list of features that have been designed into this truck. We had an opportunity to familiarize ourselves with the Desert Truck over the course of several afternoons to see how neat this truck truly is. Check out the video below for our comprehensive performance review. For more technical information, you can check out our preview of the Losi Desert Truck on HorizonHobby.com, search Article 1786

Perhaps the hottest segment of RC right now is the Short Course Truck (SCT) Spec class. There are many good reasons for this as the trucks that go head-to-head look great, handle realistically and allow just about anyone to get involved in RC racing on a level playing field at a relatively low price. The latest entry to this class is the new 1/10-scale Losi Strike and it brings a few different things to the party. The Strike features a “backwards” mounted transmission, forward motor location, aluminum threaded body shocks, brushless-ready transmission, LiPo friendly ESC and a 2.4GHz radio system to provide perhaps the most complete RTR in the SCT class to date. I had a chance to get my hands on a pre-production Strike recently and truly got up-close and personal with it. From checking out all the chassis details, diving inside the transmission, inspecting the suspension and more, this was a rare opportunity that I planned on taking full advantage of. With a number of charged Losi LiPo batteries in my pit box and the video camera in the back of my truck I headed out for an early test session at RJD Hobbies and Raceway in Lincoln, IL. The outdoor track at RJD has always been a struggle for me to get my arms around. From its challenging layout and surface I’ve done ok here but I wouldn’t say this was one of my better tracks. When I arrived in the morning the track crew was preparing to ready the track for a warm-up race before the 2009 ROAR 1/8-scale Nationals the following

I know what you’re thinking—HPI Racing isn’t an off-road company. Sure, they make some pretty killer electric and nitro monster trucks. Granted their sister company, Hot Bodies, is the current IFMAR 1/8-scale off-road champion. But what do they know about producing a 1/10-scale electric truck? Oh, and not just any stadium truck, we’re talking about a Short Course truck. Well, set your doubts aside, open your mind and take a gander at our latest test sled, the HPI Racing Blitz. While it borrows a few elements from its cousin, the e-Firestorm, this is a totally new truck that has been built from the ground up to be the fastest, easiest-to-drive, most user-friendly and best-looking Short Course Truck to date. I had the opportunity to see the debut of this truck at the end of July when I attended the Short Course Nationals, held at RC Madness in Enfield, Connecticut. I was amazed how quickly the HPI team of Jesse Robbers, Erik Shauver (lead designer of the Blitz), John Schultz and weekend hired gun Tony Phalen were able to wrench on the truck, make changes, then see an immediate impact on track. Erik and John both ran the Open and Spec classes meaning they were frequently swapping out gear diffs for ball diffs. I’m here to tell you they had it down to a 5-minute effort! Other changes such as roll centers, shock positions, toe-in and others were made in no-time flat. I was very impressed by the tuneability of the Blitz. Ok, so the truck looked easy to work on by the folks who

When it comes to Nitro Monster trucks Losi has always moved to the beat of a different drummer. When other monsters were using multiple small diameter shocks on each wheel, the original LST defied conventional wisdom by using one massive shock per wheel. When other monster trucks were using a single steering servo, Losi raised the stakes again by utilizing dual-metal geared servos. When others were relying on small block engines, Losi yet again broke the mold by going with a big block. Needless to say the previous Losi monsters’ success speaks for itself. The latest generation of Losi monster is here in the Losi LST XXL. It gains its XXL moniker by being the largest LST to date, but there’s more under the body than just a stretched chassis. Featuring refined molded components that are based off the 8IGHT 2.0 Race Roller, a bigger 454-sized engine, optimized transmission and more, the LST XXL is one big and bad truck. Add in Spektrum’s telemetry-equipped DX3S transmitter into the mix and you have what is sure to be a winner. It’s time to roost the competition and we invite you to come along to see exactly what Losi’s latest LST brings to the party. I took out with the LST XXL. I thought it might sound better without it. Speed Specs LST XXL Manufacturer – Losi Part Number – LOSB0016 Vehicle Type/Class – Big-Block Nitro Monster Truck Target Audience – Entry-Level to Advanced Nitro Monster Truck Enthusiast Kit/RTR/Race Roller – RTR Test Items Used: Losi 30% Nitrotane

Whenever an inoperable vehicle needs to be moved from point a to point b, towing services can come to the rescue. They should have the equipment to safely move the vehicle without causing further damage to it or other property. There may be situations where you need towing Toronto.

Vehicles can become inoperable when they have mechanical problems. Sometimes, it is only a small problem such as a starter motor going out that causes the vehicle to not run. Other times it may be a major problem such as a blown engine or the transmission going out of the car. In either case, a tow truck is able to lift the drive wheels of your automobile and get it from your home to the repair shop where it can be put back in running condition.

An automobile accident can result in a car that cannot be driven. Even if the auto is damaged to the point that it cannot be repaired, it can normally be loaded onto a truck and transported to a storage yard until the insurance company can make their determination and help you to get a replacement.

If you are driving in poor road conditions, it is possible that you can lose control of your vehicle and end up in a ditch or snow bank. While your auto is still operable, you are unable to get the needed traction to get that vehicle on the road. In this case, you may need winch out services to get your vehicle unstuck and back on the road.

There are also times that business owners need towing services. If you have problems with vehicles that do not belong to customers or unauthorized vehicles being left in your parking lots, many of these services offer impound towing. The service will place warning signs on your property and make regular patrols after business hours to enforce your parking policy. If a car or truck is violating the policy, it is impounded and the offending automobile will be impounded. The owner must then pay towing and storage in order to get a vehicle back.

Unfortunately, during times of economic hardship, some lenders are having to employ the services of a tow truck to repossess a vehicle when the lender is unable to keep up with the payments. While neither the lender nor the vehicle owner want this to happen, it is often the only way for the lender to retrieve the collateral on a loan.

When a vehicle needs to be transported, the safest way is often for it to be winched onto a truck so that all four wheels are safely on the bed of the truck. Most of the trucks have a bed that may be hydraulically inclined and lowered to form a ramp. Once your vehicle is on the ramp, the ramp can be moved back into position and your vehicle can be secured into place. This will prevent damage to the transmission of your car.

In an ideal world, you would not need towing services, however in the world in which we live, you will be glad that they are there when you have difficulties and need to have a vehicle moved.
